LINCOLN COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18)– A second arrest has been made in the murder of April Neikirk,
Neikirk had been reported missing in May. Her remains were found earlier this month near Ike Singleton Road, and were identified using dental records.
Otha Wesley was arrested and charged with murder and tampering with physical evidence. According to an arrest citation, he had been seen in an altercation with someone believed to be Neikirk.
On Thursday, Whitney Dean Soard was arrested and charged with complicity to commit murder, tampering with physical evidence and abuse of a corpse. An arrest record says that Soard was in the home where the murder happened and that she helped dispose of the body.
Soard is lodged in the Lincoln County Detention Center.
