MT STERLING, Ky. (LEX 18) – A Montgomery County grand jury has indicted the woman investigators shot a deputy jailer and his wife.
51-year-old Frances Zaayer is accused of shooting her neighbor and his wife was indicted on three counts including murder and attempted murder.
Authorities say Zaayer entered her neighbors’ home last month and shot 47-year-old David Scott and his wife. David was pronounced dead at the hospital, while his wife was taken to UK Hospital with injuries.
She was set to have a pretrial hearing Monday, but was indicted and will now have to be arraigned in circuit court. The date of that arraignment has not yet been released.
