Sheriff: 2 Arrested After Crashing Through Gate In Stolen Vehicle

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18)– Two people have been arrested in Laurel County after crashing a stolen truck through a gate.

It happened around 5:23 a.m. Wednesday off the West Cumberland Gap Parkway.

Sheriff’s officials found that 22-year-old Kylen Lovett and 34-year-old Shasta Cook had allegedly taken a Ford F-250 after entering United Rental’s parking lot through a back fence and drove the vehicle through a locked gate.

In addition, deputies found the driver in possession of drugs and determined that the passenger was under the influence.

Lovett and Cook face several charges.
