Sheriff Searching For Grayson Co. Man In Violent Domestic Dispute

Posted

GRAYSON COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) – A Grayson County man has been arrested after deputies say he violently beat his girlfriend, dragged her behind a car and left her for dead.

Deputies responded to Yeaman Road after a call reported an ongoing domestic dispute. Upon arrival, deputies found evidence of a struggle and found the female victim hiding in tall grass near the area.

The victim told the officers that 33-year-old Joshua J. Stone, from Caneyville, had physically assaulted her by punching her in the face, breaking her leg and then kicking the leg when he realized he may have broken it.

Believing she was pregnant, the victim told deputies he then kicked her in the stomach repeatedly.

Officers aren’t sure if the victim received her broken leg from the initial assault or if he ran over her after she was dragged by the vehicle.  The victim was transported to Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center and then to the University of Louisville Hospital where she underwent surgery in an attempt to repair her leg.

It was also learned that she had a broken nose as well as multiple bruising and abrasions from being dragged by Stone’s vehicle.

Stone is currently wanted for Assault 1st Degree, Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree, Unlawful Imprisonment 1st Degree and Criminal Mischief 1st Degree.  This investigation is ongoing and additional charges are likely.  Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Joshua J. Stone should contact their local law enforcement agency or call the Grayson County Sheriff’s Office at (270) 259-3024.
