GARRARD COUNTY, Ky (LEX 18) The Kennedy Mill Bridge, which is over 90-years-old, is closed as crews work on a replacement, but for construction to continue, Kentucky Utilities had to drop the water level at Herrington Lake from about 740 feet above sea level to around 720.
This means that people cannot use most boat ramps at the lake.
The marinas are staying open for boaters already on the lake. KU tells LEX 18 that they have permission from the construction company to let the water rise back up to 734 feet.
