Family In Need After Car, Child’s Wheelchair Stolen From Driveway

LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18)– A Lexington mother is scrambling after her vehicle was stolen right out of her driveway.

Her only mode of transportation was taken…but so was her three-year-old daughter’s. The child’s wheelchair was also inside the Jeep.

Felita Gamble’s Monday was ruined after she came out to her vehicle missing from in front of her home.

"I got up to go to work and I come out to get ready to get in my car to take my kids to daycare and my car was gone," Gamble told LEX 18.

Whoever stole the Jeep has created a mess for the working mother of four. However, that isn’t the biggest problem.

Gamble’s three-year-old daughter Dreya was born with Spina Bifida and her wheelchair was inside the jeep.

"If she doesn’t have her wheelchair she has to crawl around and be on the floor," said Gamble.

She filed a police report, but she’s also begging the community to keep an eye out for the gold Jeep, which has a busted right taillight with faded tape over it. She also had stern words for whoever stole it.

"You saw the car seats, you saw the wheelchair, you knew I had kids, you knew that you were taking something from my kids as well as me and you should have had a heart and you should have just left it," said Gamble.

A gofundme has been established to help Gamble get a new vehicle and replace the wheelchair. To donate, click here.
