Man Killed, Another Wounded In Shooting Outside Lexington Bar

LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — One man has died and anther was wounded early Saturday morning in a shooting outside a bar Lexington.

The Fayette County Coroner’s Office said 45-year-old Demarcus Lamont Clay was pronounced dead about 2:30 a.m. at the University of Kentucky Medical Center. The cause of death was a gunshot wound and the case is being investigated as a homicide.

According to the Lexington Police Department, officers responded to the Office Lounge on Eastland Parkway about 2 a.m.

When they arrived, they found a man down on the sidewalk in front of the business with a gunshot wound to his torso.

They found numerous shell casings on the ground and a vehicle with gunshot damage.

While police were conducting their investigation, another man walked into a local hospital with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to his lower body.

That victim confirmed to police that he was hurt during the same shooting.

Police are interviewing witnesses and looking at surveillance camera footage.

No word yet on any suspects or motives.
