FRANKLIN COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18)– Deputies say they have busted a burglary ring where at least 12 guns were stolen.
Three homes were broken into on Shadrick Ferry Road.
Authorities say the homes were targeted by the same people.
The sheriff says Zack Harrod is one of the suspects busted for the thefts.
Officials say Harrod and some others broke into homes during the day when people were at work and stole guns and electronics.
"They were casing homes, they would sit out make sure nobody was at home no movement no activity they would go up and knock on the door and kick the door in and look for guns and electronic devices," said Sheriff Pat Melton.
In fact, deputies were able to track Harrod down from pinging the location of a stolen iPad.
They are still looking for the other suspects.
