LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) – Coach John Calipari is recovering after a minor surgery, he confirmed via Twitter.
The coach did not elaborate on the surgery, just that he would be in the hospital for a few days.
"I really haven’t had time to look at the commission’s recommendations yet. I had a minor surgery yesterday that’s going to keep me in the hospital for a couple days. I’m probably going to miss recruiting this weekend, but all is good!" wrote Coach Cal.
He isn’t the only UK coach to go under the knife. Former Coach Billy Gillispie underwent a kidney transport Tuesday. He is expected to be okay as well.
