LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE 3)– Police have arrested a man in connection to the death of his mother.
WAVE 3 News is reporting that the incident happened around 3 p.m. Monday on Southern Meadows Drive.
Louisville police say officers found a woman dead at the scene.
The coroner later identified the victim as 69-year-old Ruth Perkins, and confirmed she died of multiple gunshot wounds.
Police arrested the son of the victim, 39-year-old Gavin Perkins, later that night.
Perkins is facing charges of murder and domestic violence and is set to be arraigned Tuesday morning.
