Posted

LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) – Police officers at Keeneland called for backup after a rowdy crowd started throwing things at them Saturday afternoon.

Lexington Police say an officer working in a tailgating area outside the track tried to arrest an underage drinker.

That’s when they say the crowd got out of control and started throwing things and fighting. We’re told five people were arrested on charges including alcohol intoxication, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.

Reportedly no one was hurt.
