ROME (LEX 18) – Father Jim Sichko of Kentucky was invited for a special audience with the Pope. As part of the Papal Missionaries of Mercy, Sichko has visited with the Holy Father previously.
This time, Father Sichko took a 23-year-old prized bottle of Pappy Van Winkle to give to Pope Francis.
Afterward, Sichko posted a photo of the exchange in which he assured the Pope that it was "a very good bourbon."
