LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — Lexington police are investigating after a taxi driver reported being robbed at gunpoint late Friday night.
The incident occurred about 11:30 p.m. in the 700 block of Whispering Brook Trace.
Authorities tell LEX 18 that the taxi driver was dispatched to pick up a passenger in the area. But when the driver arrived, a suspect pointed a gun at him and took an undisclosed amount of cash.
Police say it’s not clear whether the suspect was the same person who called the taxi to the area.
