The Laurel County Sheriff's Office reports that one person is dead and one is seriously injured after a motorcycle crash that happened on US 25.
According to police, a 2007 Honda motorcycle operated by 54-year-old Randy Schenk was traveling northbound on US 25 when he lost control, ejecting him and his passenger.
Officials say Schenk was flown to UK Medical Center to be treated for serious injuries, and the passenger, identified as 48-year-old Sherry Schenk, was transported to London Hospital, where she later died from her injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.

One person is dead after a crash in Laurel County Monday evening.
The Laurel County Sheriff's Office says the crash happened on US 25, about seven miles south of London, around 5 p.m.
Officials say there was a fatality in the crash. More information is expected to be released following next of kin notification.
