Eleanor Buckley joined the LEX 18 team in August 2018 as a general assignment reporter. She comes from Minnesota and loves the cold but more importantly what comes with it – Hockey!
In fact, Eleanor enjoys all sports, and that’s what drove her to play college tennis competing at the division one and two level throughout her college career. After college Eleanor left Minnesota to become a multi-media reporter in Roanoke, Virginia. Roanoke presented new opportunities covering stories from pipeline protests to professional NASCAR. Eleanor’s true passion however is investigative journalism and watching Dateline. This love has driven her to go after similar stories like uncovering cold cases.
Eleanor feels very lucky to be in Lexington. She loves her entire family, and part of her large Irish family calls Lexington home, and she is thrilled to be closer to them. Eleanor loves the outdoors, traveling, and anything involving sports. She loves to spend summers at her Godfather’s cabin in Hayward, Wisconsin and is happiest on the water.
