Conroy Delouche – LEX 18 Sunrise Weekend Anchor/Reporter

Conroy Delouche joined the LEX 18 news team in June 2016 as a general assignment reporter. He’s worked in a few different newsrooms, including one in eastern Kentucky, but he comes to Lexington after spending the last few years as a high school teacher.  Conroy is the weekend Sunrise anchor.

Conroy graduated from the University of Missouri with a degree in Broadcast Journalism. While in Columbia, he reported and anchored weekends at KOMU. His first job after college took him to eastern Kentucky where he worked at WYMT. Conroy fell in love with the Bluegrass State while reporting and travelling all through the mountains, and went to any football and basketball games he could. After two years, he moved on to the Volunteer State to report and anchor at WVLT in Knoxville.

In 2013, Conroy made the difficult decision to leave news and move closer to family. He moved to Houston and took a job at his old high school, Strake Jesuit. For three years, he ran the television department, coached lacrosse, and taught world history. He loved being a teacher, but reporting was still his passion, and that’s what brought him back to Kentucky.

Conroy enjoys running, playing basketball, and visiting new places. He’s excited to explore central Kentucky, and to revisit the Mountains.
