If there was ever a candy that stirs up strong emotions, it’s candy corn. You either love the Halloween treat or absolutely despise it and will pass up any candy bowl it’s lurking in.
If you’re on team “give me all the candy corn” — or perhaps even if you’re not — candy company Brach’s has something new for you to try this year: turkey dinner-flavored candy corn.
That’s right, friends. The fall candy is getting a Thanksgiving makeover — and according to Brach’s website, it doesn’t just taste like turkey. The candy, which hits store shelves at Walgreens stores across the country this season, includes all the Thanksgiving flavors: green beans, stuffing, ginger-glazed carrots, cranberry sauce and sweet potato pie. A 12-ounce bag retails for about $2.99.
This is not the only time Brach’s has re-flavored their candy corn. In 2017, they launched cookie-flavored candy corn, though it is no longer available. They do have Milk Maid Caramels and S’mores candy corn right now, in case you want to take summer flavors right into fall.
You’ll also find Football candy corn, Scary Shapes (for Halloween), Autumn Mix, Pumpkins and Harvest. Harvest takes candy corn flavor and infuses it with cocoa powder for a chocolatey taste.
If original candy corn is actually on your favorites list, you don’t have to stop at just the candy itself. There are dozens of candy corn treats on the market. How about some candy corn popcorn. or for those 21 and over, candy corn beer? The beer isn’t actually made with candy corn but is brewed to smell and taste like the candy, with notes of vanilla and cream.
You can also make your own candy corn-flavored treats, including this candy corn surprise cake from PureWow. It’s not only colored like a piece of candy corn but also filled with the sweet treat.
Want something indulgent to drink alongside your cake? This slow cooker hot chocolate from Passion for Savings, made with white chocolate and actual candy corn, looks absolutely perfect for a fall day.
Do you agree with those that dislike candy corn or are you a lifelong fan?
