Michael Berk joined LEX 18 in December 2015 and recently returned to the anchor desk with LEX 18 News at Sunrise.
Before joining LEX 18, Michael spent several years anchoring and reporting sports in Cincinnati.
A veteran of more than 20 years in local news, Michael spent most of his career working in sports departments across the country, including stops in Orange County in Southern California, Eugene, Oregon, Las Vegas, Nevada, and Portland, Oregon, where he was twice named Oregon’s TV Sportscaster of the Year. Michael is an Emmy Award winner and has been honored multiple times by the Oregon Associated Press.
When he’s not co-anchoring Sunrise from 4:30-7 a.m., Michael is still active in the community covering the daily stories that matter most to central Kentuckians.
Michael is an amateur handyman who always measures once and cuts twice.
