OWSLEY COUNTY, KY (LEX 18) — The Mayor of Booneville, KY, has passed away at age 99.
Charles Long had served the city of Booneville as mayor since 1958. He was apparently the oldest mayor in the United States.
Long had to run for office every four years, and he told LEX 18 in 2017, that no one had ever run against him.
Funeral arrangements have not been released.
