Man charged in box cutter attack in Lexington

LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — A Lexington man is accused of slashing another person with a box cutter Friday night along Corral Street.

Police say that witnesses reported seeing a man pull out the box cutter and slash the left side of the victim's chest during an argument. Several people identified the attacker as 54-year-old Gary Wade. They were able to give police a description of him.

Wade was arrested a couple blocks away on Ford Place. He is charged with second-degree assault.
