WHITLEY COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) — A Whitley County man who allegedly killed his aunt back in June has been ordered to undergo a psychiatric exam, according to The News Journal.
When police arrived at a home in Williamsburg, they found Wanda Richardson, 58, lying partially in the road and bleeding from her head.
Police said her nephew, Michael Worley, was spotted running away.
Richardson died from her injuries later on.
In July, it was reported that Worley was indicted for murder in the case.
According to The News Journal, on Monday Worley's attorney said he filed a motion to have his client committed to the State Correctional Psychiatric Center for a competency hearing.
A status hearing has been scheduled for October.
