LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — Lexington police said two men have died at the hospital and another man is recovering from injuries following a shooting on Saturday.
Police said all three victims were 18-years-old. Their names have not yet been released.
The gunfire broke out near the intersection of Winchester Road and East 7th Street shortly after 4 p.m. on Saturday.
Reportedly police believe the shooter fired at the victims from a light-colored SUV.
Witnesses in the area told LEX 18 that they heard several rounds go off. They said crime is common in that area.
“My first instinct was just pure adrenaline get there and just do what I can do," said Austin Vanderpool, who witnessed the shooting.
