LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — LEX 18 is partnering with Habitat for Humanity this summer to help build a home for a deserving family.
The home on Betty Hope Lane is coming together with interior doors and kitchen cabinets, and next week, they'll be planting some trees.
On Friday, some Scripps Corporate sponsors came from Cincinnati to help out. Project Manager Lee Record said you can help out with Lexington Habitat projects in more ways than just volunteering. They also need land.
"The current situation we're in right now, we have 20 families in the pipeline that completed our courses and are ready to move in to a house. We have seven lots. So we need to get creative and come up with some land," said Record.
