Laurel County deputies charge 5 teenagers after assault at party

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) — Laurel County deputies charged five teenagers on Sunday morning after an assault at a party.

Deputies responded to a disturbance at a home off Paris Karr Road around 2:30 a.m. on Sunday.

LEX 18 was told that deputies found several teens who had apparently been drinking at the home. Sheriff’s office officials said a woman outside the home, later identified as Madison Brown, became belligerent with deputies.

Deputies said a 17-year-old male was found in a back-bedroom unconscious and they determined he was assaulted.

The victim was airlifted to a Louisville hospital with serious head trauma and was reportedly on a ventilator.

Deputies managed to recover some videos and text messages describing the assault.

18-year-old Madison Brown was charged with disorderly conduct and public intoxication,18-year-old Brady Cook was charged with first-degree assault and alcohol intoxication, 19-year-old John Masters was charged with first-degree assault and unlawful transaction with a minor third-degree, a 16-year-old male was charged with first-degree assault and alcohol intoxication, and a 17-year-old male was charged with tampering with physical evidence.
