FLEMING COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) — Two people are dead after a deadly crash in Fleming County.
According to police, a pickup truck crashed into a car trying to turn onto Highway 599 on Saturday morning.
The driver of the truck and his passenger were not injured, but officials say 53 year old Nancy Barnett was pronounced dead at the scene.
The three passengers in Barnett's vehicle were transport to UK Hospital.
One of those passengers, 56 year-old Lyndon Barnett, later died due to his injuries.
Fleming County High School recently posted on Facebook that the two other passengers in the vehicle are the Barnetts' children.
The high school's principal says both children are still being treated at the hospital.
The crash remains under investigation.
