That strong, summery ridge stays clamped down and our September heat wave keeps on cooking! Highs Thursday and Friday will stay in the low to mid 90s. Lexington's record highs are in the upper 90s both days. With muggier air in place the heat index will max out in the upper 90s pushing triple digits south. A cold front will bring minimal shower & storm chances Friday night but briefly cut our heat and humidity with Saturday's highs back in the mid to upper 80s.
