Let the warm up commence! It was another frigid morning with lows in the teens. Lexington's temperature bottomed out at 12°, which was the coldest reading of the season and since November 13th. Sunshine plus a southerly breeze lead to a nice recovery this afternoon. Temperatures made it back to "normal" with highs in the mid 40s. Tonight won't be nearly as cold with lows in the lower and mid 30s. We'll get a little warmer tomorrow and continue to warm into the beginning of the work week.
Lately milder temperatures have also meant rain chances. Widespread rain will arrive Monday night and linger through Tuesday. This system doesn't look to produce drenching rain like recent rounds. We are expected around an inch of rain by Wednesday morning. Another cold snap will follow the rain to close out the week.
