LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — Former Kentucky quarterback Jared Lorenzen is in the ICU as he battles seriously health ailments.
Lorenzen's family has issued a statement on his condition. He is battling an infection, kidney and heart issues.
"He is fighting with every thing he has and his immediate family is by his side. We will attempt to update as often as possible, but pleas respect that some aspects of this journey are private matters," reads the statement.
Lorenzen has been battling health issues for years and has been on a mission to lose weight after clocking in at 500 pounds.
