In April, Lee revealed in an episode of “The Kitchen” that she and Biegel were having a girl. “We just needed some good news to be excited about,” she said during the episode, which aired early in the coronavirus pandemic, according to People.
The star of “What Would Katie Eat” has been posting pictures along the way throughout her pregnancy, including what she’s been eating. And back in May, Lee answered a question in a Food Network clip about what her first post-baby meal would be. “I’m going to have a margarita, and a deli turkey sandwich,” she said.

Lee and Biegel married in September 2018 at the Lo Scoglio da Tommaso hotel on Italy’s Amalfi Coast. They got engaged while staying at the La Reserve Hotel in Paris earlier that year.
“It was very romantic,” Lee told People magazine about the proposal. “We were going out to dinner to one of my favorite restaurants, and I thought that it was coming. We’re on the trip, like I kind of thought, ‘Listen we’re in Paris and we’re taking the Orient Express to Venice. If he doesn’t propose on this trip, he’ll really miss a great opportunity.'”
Lee and Biegel first announced their baby news back in February. On Instagram, Lee posted a photo from her kitchen, where she’s eating pasta and showing off her bump. “Eating for two,” the caption reads.
This is particularly good news for the couple in light of the challenges they had conceiving. Lee has spoken openly about their struggles with infertility.
“When Ryan and I got married, our plan was to start a family right away. I couldn’t wait to get pregnant!” Lee said in a long Instagram post recounted by People. “I naively thought it would be easy. I’m a healthy woman, I eat a balanced diet, exercise, I don’t smoke. Ryan is the same.”
Later, she wrote for People, “I know a family will happen for us; it’s just not going to be as easy as we thought. We will keep working toward it. Someday we will have our happy new beginning.”
Now that happy beginning has arrived, and she’s adorable! Congrats to the whole family!
