While there is still more than a month until autumn begins, the unofficial start of the season — when pumpkin spice products arrive in stores, of course — has already begun.
Dunkin’ is launching its fall menu before the calendar even strikes September. Beginning Aug. 19, you’ll find new and classic pumpkin-flavored coffees, spiced drinks, bite-size bakery treats and more.
In terms of beverages, Dunkin’s pumpkin-flavored coffee will be returning, plus two new items: chai latte and pumpkin spice latte, which you can get hot or iced! Topped with whipped cream, caramel drizzle and cinnamon sugar, the pumpkin spice latte combines espresso with pumpkin and vanilla flavors.
You’ll also find returning food items including apple cider and pumpkin doughnuts and a maple sugar bacon breakfast sandwich.
New items include stuffed bagel minis and steak and cheese rollups. Another fanciful new menu item is “snackin’ bacon”: snack-sized slices of bacon flavored with maple sugar seasoning.
If you’re of the opinion that nothing says “fall” like a Starbucks PSL, however, you may have to wait a bit longer as the coffee chain has not yet revealed a date for its return. Looking to past PSL launches, we can guess it will most likely be the last week of August, as it returned on Aug. 27 last year and on on Aug. 28 in 2018.
Last year, Starbucks even had a pumpkin cream cold brew, their first new pumpkin coffee beverage in 16 years. While we can’t confirm if it will be returning again this year, keep your eye on the menu because there’s always a chance it will come back when the traditional PSL returns.
If you simply can’t wait, Starbucks pumpkin spice products have already returned to store shelves, along with additional fall items.
You’ll find Starbucks pumpkin spice-flavored creamer, pumpkin spice coffee, instant pumpkin spice-flavored latte and ready-to-drink iced pumpkin spice-flavored lattes. You can also get new Starbucks maple pecan-flavored coffee and salted caramel mocha-flavored creamer.
Green Mountain Coffee Roasters has also brought back their pumpkin spice and maple pecan K-cups, both of which sound like they would go perfectly with some pumpkin spice Cheerios or this pumpkin spice pancake mix from Krusteaz.
Swiss Miss is also making pumpkin spice hot chocolate this year if that’s more your thing.
If you want something to dunk in your coffee or hot chocolate, Nonni’s Biscotti is bringing back their pumpkin spice (and gingerbread!) biscotti. The pumpkin spice biscotti features pumpkin and seasonal spices, and is dipped in cinnamon icing, so they would go well with a pumpkin spice-flavored drink or regular coffee.
Of course, you could always make your own pumpkin spice latte at home if you’d rather be your own barista, or check out these 10 pumpkin-flavored drinks that aren’t PSLs if you’re looking for something other than a coffee.
Are you ready for the season of all things pumpkin-flavored?
