After spending the past three years in the Cincinnati television market, Drew Amman is thrilled to join the team at WLEX.
Drew is grateful to get back to the Commonwealth where he worked from 1999 to 2003 in Bowling Green, making several trips to Lexington covering various events.
In more than 25 years of local television, the Muncie, Indiana native made stops in Michigan, Kentucky, Indiana, Arkansas and Ohio, and he's excited, along with his wife and daughter, to explore Lexington and its wonderful hospitality.
While in Cincinnati, Drew covered major stories like the fiery crash on the Brent Spence Bridge in 2020 and the Cincinnati Bengals' Super Bowl Run during the 2021 season. In the community, Drew is involved with the Heart of Gold Memorial Fund, a non-profit raising money for cancer and heart disease research and looks to connect with similar organizations in Lexington.
Drew is passionate about storytelling, solving problems, and shining a light on those making a positive impact in the community.
Drew would love to hear from you and if you have a story idea, send it to: drew.amman@wlex.tv or connect with him on X @drewamman, Facebook, Instagram or Linkedin.
