LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — The Fayette County Clerk’s Office confirms officials have added 30 extra voting machines after turnouts caused long lines across the county.

“Our vendor Harp was able to send us 30 more machines, which we have deployed to precincts,” Meredith Watson confirmed to LEX 18.

The waits at some precincts were as long as two hours, but most voters took it in stride.

To cast your ballot you must be in line by 6 p.m.
