Lexington’s annual Polar Plunge for the Special Olympics of Kentucky will be held Saturday, Feb. 29 starting at 9 a.m. in the parking lot of the Texas Roadhouse on Richmond Road. This year, tune into LEX 18's It's On at 12:30 p.m. Friday, Feb 28 for a pre-plunge with hosts, Jennifer Palumbo and Seth Phillips!
Participants in the Polar Plunge on Saturday will leap into a frigid pool, with funds raised benefiting over 10,000 Special Olympics athletes in Kentucky. People can take part in the event, sponsored in part by LEX 18, by visiting the website, donating and signing up.
The organization helps raise money for Special Olympics athletes in Kentucky every year.
This year, It's On hosts, Seth Phillips and Jennifer Palumbo will also take part in the Polar Plunge on Saturday.
