LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — A Richmond woman's charity bike ride happened this weekend on the Legacy Trail in Lexington.
LEX 18 told you about Amy Krome last year when her specially-made bike was stolen off her porch. Krome suffers from Cerebral Palsy and used the bike for her annual ride. Krome received enough donations to purchase a new bike and biked nearly 20 miles over the past two days.
All of the money raised goes to the organization "Soldiers' Angels." they provide aid and comfort to men and women of the military.
"It's also to show that everyone who has a disability whether it's invisible or visible that as long as you have a heart, you can do anything," Krome told LEX 18.
She hopes to raise $1,000 for Soldiers' Angels.
