LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18)– Students at Lexington Catholic High School are hoping you’ll skip the roses and chocolate this Valentine’s Day and instead get cinnamon rolls. It’s all part of a plan to help them help others.

The folks at DV8 Kitchen are known for making a difference in the lives of their employees, but they’re now teaming up with the high school to change lives across the world.

Father Norman Fischer with Lexington Catholic came to DV8 with the idea. His students are getting ready for a mission trip to the Dominican Republic, and to get there, they’re asking people to consider giving the gift of DV8 cinnamon rolls this Valentine’s Day.

“It just came to my mind that DV8 would be amazing to partner with and have this ‘Valentine with a heart for others’ concept,” said Fischer.

You can order Valentine’s themed cinnamon rolls with cream cheese icing or an ooey gooey caramel pecan, with 25% of the proceeds going towards helping the students help others.

“The truth about love is that not only we receive it but we give it,” he said.

You can place orders until February 3 and they will be available for pick up or delivery on February 9.
