LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18)- A stranger was playing Santa at the Walmart at Nicholasville Road in Lexington on Saturday and a local woman wants to thank him for his kindness.

A normal Saturday shopping trip restored Donna Cooke’s faith in humanity. She was in line in the Nicholasville Road Walmart, her cart full of groceries, when a man footed the bill.

“He said ‘I’m going to pay for all of your purchases today for Christmas and I looked at him strangely and started bawling like an idiot,” Cooke told LEX 18.

It wasn’t just Cooke’s purchase. The man paid for other multiple people’s Christmas items, allowing perfect strangers to walk out without spending a dime.

“It was not pomp… he was very humble about it and he did it and then went on and didn’t ask for anything… thanks or anything,” said Cooke.

Donna, who is wheelchair bound after suffering a stroke only gets out of the house about twice a month, so to witness such a generous act was a welcome gift.

She regrets not getting the man’s full name because she would like to mail him a note.

If you know the identity of the Nicholasville Road Walmart Santa, contact LEX 18.  The only clue we have is that Cooke believes his name is Cory.
