Several others from Fayette County Public Schools received honorable mention …

  • High school: Hiroki Asai and Vanessa Meliksetyan, both of Lafayette;

Sixty-three students competed April 21 at the Singletary Center for the Arts and the University of Kentucky’s Fine Arts Department. The judges came from UK, Campbellsville University, Radford University, and Georgia Southern University.

This annual competition is named for a professor who taught at UK from 1949 through 1982. For questions, please contact organizer Nancy Stelter.
