Amazing heat today as Kentucky's temperatures soared into the middle and upper 90's. Lexington's official high was 100. For historical perspective, this breaks the 119 year old record of 97. This is the first 100 degree reading since 2012 and the first in September since 1954!

Louisville also broke a record high today that dated back to 1897. Jackson's official thermometer also broke a record in eastern Kentucky.
