Memphis held Los Angeles to 34 percent shooting and forced 19 turnovers. Jaren Jackson Jr. finished with 13 points for Memphis, which pulled away in the fourth quarter.
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — The Jacksonville Jaguars already have fallen quickly. From being a win away from their first Super Bowl in January, they’re last in the AFC South in December. The Tennessee Titans desperately want to avoid joining them as a one-and-done playoff team, especially after sweeping the Jaguars last season. LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) — Steven Enoch and Jordan Nwora posted big nights for Louisville, which cruised to an 86-41 victory over Central Arkansas. Enoch, a 6-foot-11 junior who sat out last season after transferring from Connecticut, posted career highs of 16 points and nine rebounds.
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Simi Shittu scored 15 points and Matthew Moyer added a season-high 14 and Vanderbilt beat Middle Tennessee State 79-51. The Commodores, who lost point guard Darius Garland to a season-ending knee injury on November 23, rebounded from Saturday’s loss to North Carolina State.
NEW ORLEANS (AP) — Shakwon Barrett scored a career-high 26 points, Caleb Daniels and Samir Sehic each had a double-double and Tulane beat UT Martin 87-74 to snap a four-game skid. Barrett, a freshman who was 10-of-11 shooting, scored 17 after the break.
RICHMOND, Ky. (AP) — Nick Mayo had 14 points, seven rebounds and four blocks and Dejuanta Weaver scored 12 points to help Eastern Kentucky hold off South Carolina Upstate 79-77. Weaver hit 4 of 7 from 3-point range, grabbed six rebounds and had four assists.
