RICHMOND, Ky. (WBON) — A Madison County man who ran for magistrate has been arrested on sex charges.
According to our news partners at WBON, Scotty D. Johnson, 38, was arrested and indicted on charges that he received and sent sexual messages to a local high school student.
Johnson ran for magistrate in 2018.
An arrest citation stated that Johnson allegedly created a social media account in order to procure explicit matter from the juvenile.
He has been charged with use of a minor in a sexual performance, possession of matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor, use of electronic communications to procure a minor, tampering with physical evidence and distribution of obscene matter.
