Kentucky defeats Vanderbilt 38-14

Kentucky scored 35 unanswered points en route to a 38-14 victory over Vanderbilt.

Chance Poore delivers a 32 yard field goal on Kentucky's opening offensive possession, a possession that started at the Vanderbilt 44 yard line. Cats are up 3-0 with 9:48 left to play in the first quarter.

Vanderbilt responds on the ensuing drive, going 75 yards in 8 plays capped off by a 5 yard touchdown run by Ke'Shawn Vaughn. Commodores take the lead 7-3 with 5:21 left in the first quarter.

The Wildcats started the next drive with a 49 yard run by A.J. Rose. But on the next play, he would cough it up and Vanderbilt would take it 68 yards to the house to extend its lead to 14-3 with 4:36 to play in the first.

Kavosiey Smoke would check in for the Wildcats and led Kentucky on an 11 play, 75 yard drive while scoring the touchdown. Cats trail 14-10 with 14:14 left in the second quarter.

The Cats continue to impose their will on the ground. Kentucky regains the lead after a 22 yard touchdown run by Chris Rodriguez. 17-14 UK with 8:07 left in the half.

Kentucky would have another lengthy drive to close the half. On this possession, Lynn Bowden Jr. completed a touchdown pass to Josh Ali. Kentucky leads Vanderbilt 24-14 at halftime.

It was more of the same in the second half. Bowden added another score, this one from two yards out. To cap off the scoring was a 22-yard TD from Chris Rodriguez.
