WOODFORD COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) — Emergency and fire crews battled an early morning fire that destroyed an abandoned home in Woodford County.
Authorities said crews were called out around 1:40 a.m. to a fire in the 200 block of Lexington Street in Versailles.
Officials said no one was inside the structure when the blaze broke out. The was abandoned, authorities told LEX 18.
The home was heavily damaged, and fire fighters remained at the site Tuesday morning checking for hot spots.
The cause of the fire remained under investigation.
