LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18)- A bizarre death investigation is underway after a burned body was found at a residence in Laurel County.
According to sheriff’s officials, officers were dispatched to York Shires Estates Road for reports of a body on fire in a driveway. When they arrived, officers found a deceased individual who had been burned.
The body had no other obvious sides of trauma, besides the burns. Deputies also say the individual was not smoking on oxygen.
An investigation is underway to determine the circumstances of the death. An autopsy will be conducted in Frankfort on Saturday.
The victim has been identified as Billy Bowling, age 86, of London.
