BOYLE COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18)– A camper with oxygen tanks caught fire Friday morning causing several explosions.

It happened just after 2:30 a.m. on Mitchell Street in Junction City.

Officials say a family member noticed a glow from the camper located behind the house. When they went to check on it, they saw smoke and flames.

When crews arrived, there were three different explosions because the camper had four oxygen tanks and five propane tanks inside.

We’re told the fire did not impact home, but crews had to dodge shrapnel.

No one was hurt.
