Elderly Man Killed In Lexington Duplex Fire

LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — Police say a man was killed in an overnight fire at a duplex on Lexington’s northeast side.

Authorities say an elderly man died after the fire broke out about 2 a.m. at a home on Huntsville Drive.

The victim, who was not identified, suffered burns and smoke inhalation, according to the Fayette County Coroner.

Meanwhile, a second man who lives at the residence was able to get out unharmed.

Officials said it was not clear what caused the blaze.
