MARION COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) — Marion County High School officials said Tuesday that administrators dealt with a safety threat involving a student and a pellet gun.

According to the officials, the high school received an anonymous tip that a high school student allegedly “had made comments concerning a potential school safety situation.”

Authorities questioned the student and said the student admitted to having a pellet gun, which was found in the student’s vehicle, officials said.

School officials said the Lebanon Police Department was contacted. It was not immediately clear whether the student faces legal or school disciplinary action.

School officials said no students were in danger during Tuesday’s events.
