(LEX 18) — Although the heat may be a bit draining, summer days are numbered as we slowly inch towards winter. The two Farmers’ Almanacs already have their predictions in for winter, but they’re both saying two very different things.
The Old Farmer’s Almanac said that the winter is going to be nice and mild. The Farmer’s Almanac said that it will be a pretty bad winter.
So what should people expect?
LEX 18’s Karolina Buczek asked LEX 18 Meteorologist Tom Ackerman which almanac is right.
“If you look at their website — I was just looking at it — it says their forecast is derived from a secret formula. So … enjoy it. Keep it in the back of your mind thinking that it’s one of many possibilities coming this winter but as far as taking it very seriously, I don’t know if you should that,” said Ackerman,
