BATH COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) – Some Bath County firefighters spent the morning battling a fire at an abandoned house.
The flames broke out shortly after 3:00a.m. at a home on Washington Branch Road just north of Owingsville.
Crews from the Owingsville Fire Department and Preston Fire Department responded.
The Owingsville fire chief says when they arrived, the home was engulfed and most of the walls had collapsed.
Firefighters were on scene for several hours working to get the flames under control and put out any hot spots.
No one was hurt and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
