Troy Merritt was the leader after the opening round on Thursday and did just enough in his final round to win the Barbasol Championship with a -23 score. Merritt came into the day tied with three other golfers at -18, but separated himself on the back nine to barely edge out a pack of golfers who closely trailed. Nonstop rain pushed Sunday’s final round to Monday, as the final four groups are set to tee off beginning at 7:30 AM. The Barbasol Championship added four golfers to the field following its open qualifier, which was held on Monday at Boone’s Trace National Golf Club in Richmond.
